One of my favorite things has always been going outside on a clear night, far away from dampening lights of town, to view the stars of heaven. I also enjoy seeing the many photographs that the Hubble Space Telescope, and other such inventions, are capturing; views of deep space that no man in any previous generation has seen before.

The photograph in this article comes to us from Hubble. It’s technical name is MCS J0416.1-2403. My name for it is “Wow.” To put this in perspective, the view you are seeing represents a slice of heaven, that from our viewpoint, is about the size of the thickness of a sheet of paper. Each of the lights that you see here are not stars – they are galaxies; spiral-shaped clusters of as many as a trillion or more stars. Now, multiply this one paper-thin view times all of the other individual, same sized views of the entire universe. The number is both staggering, and unfathomable.

The Bible tells us that these stars are angels, and that they are ministers of the Lord for our benefit. Hebrews 12:22 “But ye are come unto mount Sion, and unto the city of the living God, the heavenly Jerusalem, and to an innumerable company of angels, ”

We are not alone.
