I just realized something. Many (not all) “dispensationalists” say that there are different “gospels” for different periods in time, or “dispensations”, such as the gospel of the kingdom, Paul’s gospel, the everlasting gospel, etc. In their view, all but one of these gospels, Paul’s gospel, require works for salvation. I have a huge problem with that. I believe the Bible clearly presents ONE GOSPEL, giving it different names, different aspects of the same gospel of salvation by grace alone through faith alone. They cite Revelation 14 as one of their “proof texts”.
Revelation 14:6 And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people,
I was reading Galatians, and it just dawned on me. If the angel in Revelation 14:6 has a different gospel than the one Paul preached, that angel is accursed.
(Galatians 1:8) “But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.”
Enough said.
