  1. First, let me say that I am one of the Christians who absolutely believes there is plenty of room, even with a pre-trib rapture, for “bad stuff ” (worse than any in world history to date) to happen in this world before the rapture. I think that is what the birth pangs will be about as they lead up to the tribulation. However, if verses 1-3 are taken to mean a falling away AND the revealing of the antichrist happen BEFORE the removal of the church, what, then is the explanation for verse 7 and 8, which traditionally has been believed to indicate the Holy Spirit restrainer/ indwelling presence, abiding in the body/bride, being taken out of the away which is clearly stated to occur BEFORE the revealing of that wicked in verses 7 and 8. It can’t be both ways. Either the Antichrist is revealed before the bride is removed, or after. If it is before, then what/who is the “he who now letteth” until he be taken out of the way??? (The “will let” in that verse I note, is in italics).

Also, in the King James, the words “that day shall not come” up in verse 3 are in italics, which means they are not in the original but added by the translators, to provide clarification for something that has no direct translation from the Greek into English, correct? I’ve been listening to and following your WVB’s for a long time, Pastor Mike, at least four years, but you’re starting to lose me here. You are saying you “believe we are going to see a falling of the people, along with the falling of the angels” and you said a couple of times “I might be wrong, but..” Pastor Mike, I get a little squeamish when any pastor speculates. You teach that principle yourself. I have looked at the things that fall, in the Bible. I use the various software to do exhaustive searches of phrases and terns. I also get the “purist” approach wherein you don’t adopt “positions” that aren’t stated, in so many words, in the Bible. But I am very curious to see where you’re going with this one. I’ll be back next week (Lord willing) to hear what else you have to say.

    • @STLLOYD, You have made some very good “Berean” type observations brother. I want to thank you for that.
I too question Pastor Mike’s teachings on some issues but I don’t know how to “speak the truth in love” and I doubt he will reply anyway. He has made it clear he is too busy to reply to most comments.
But your point is a valid one I believe as, if you take the Bible literally as Pastor Mike does, then it does say “he who letteth” will be taken out of the way before the Man of Sin is revealed.
I love Pastor Mike for his boldness to teach and preach the King James Bible but as he himself says, he can be wrong.
And I for one, hope that he is wrong about this pre-trib rapture thing.
I doubt Pastor Mike will answer you directly but I too will be following what he says with interest as to how he treats the rest of this passage. Or if he just ignores this all together because it doesn’t “fit” into his theology. As he is always accusing others of doing.
